I just wanted to give you all a quick update as to my progress recently. Sadly, I didn't lose that 1 lb I was hoping for, taking me into the 150's, BUT I got my motivation for the week another way: measurements!
I lost 5 inches in these past 3 weeks! I am going to post my measurements from when I started with my trainer.
June 27 August 22
Body fat % 32.4 29
BMI 28.9 26.6
R Arm 11.5 11
L Arm 11.5 11
R Thigh 22.5 20
L Thigh 22.5 20
Chest 40 39
Waist 36 34
Glutes 42.25 39.75
So, I started 30DS on 8/14. I am doing it every day, except the days I workout with my trainer (M,W). This week, I've added in a couple of runs, to make SURE I don't see another goosegg this week. I am only running my short route, 2.4 miles. I am very excited to say that I just beat my time from 8/2 of 32:36 by 5 minutes today. My time was 27:37, I'm finally seeing a change in my endurance. Hopefully soon I'll be able to run it w/out stopping!
Time for Change!
I've decided that it's time to make a change! I've been overweight for too long. Hopefully this story will have a happy ending!

It's official!
I have lost 25lbs! I was very happy to see a 3 lb loss this week. I am down to 160 lbs! Hopefully I will lose at least 1 lbs this week, so I can say I'm in the 150's. :)
I have been trying to mix up my workouts here and there, to keep my body guessing. Starting this week I will be doing Jillian's 30 DS every day, except on Mon and Wed when I workout with my PT. I hope to squeeze in a little run on my 30DS days too, as I don't think I burn enough cals in those 20 min.
I will be updating my measurements on Wednesday night!

My first "check-in" with Monica!
Ok, I just got back from getting my ass kicked by my trainer. This was my first check-in with her since getting measured, when I started. In one month, I lost 2% of my body fat and almost 5 inches off my whole body. I am so motivated to keep this going!
Halfway there!
Well, almost! I have now lost a total of 19 lbs! I bucked up and took a new picture today. It's not amazing, but a whole heck of a lot better than before. Please be kind...this was hard for me to post publicly. LOL
January: 185 lbs
July 18: 166lbs

I had an epiphany today...
OK, I need to share...
I had somewhat of an epiphany while I was running today. One of my inspirations/goals on MFP's profile was to be a good role model for my children. Well, my 12 year old daughter has been running with me! She is very into cheerleading and has really taken to her coach's advice to exercise as much as possible. I'm so proud she's been asking to come along. :) I'm so happy I've made this decision to make a change in my life, and it my children are already benefiting from it. There's no stopping me now!

On a roll....
So, even though I posted last time about getting back on track, I didn't. No excuses. I suck. But NO MORE! I have been on track for the past 2 weeks!! I started using http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ to track everything I am eating and all of my exercise. Best of all, IT'S FREE!! It's great because the have an online community where you can post comments/questions for other members. I have several friends that are doing it now, as well. It's great because we can keep each other motivated and on track.
As far as exercise goes, I am doing a bunch of different things, to keep things interesting. I am meeting with a great personal trainer once a week, working on the couch to 5k program, P90x, and some exercise Wii games (Biggest Loser and Just Dance 2) I never realized Just Dance 2 has a "Just Sweat" program where you can keep track of your points, depending on how "hard" you are dancing.
So, since starting this blog, I have lost 17lbs!!! I lost 11 pounds when I first started and later failed to continue. Somehow, I managed to stay at the same weight for these past few months of my "suckiness". I have lost 6lbs in the past 2 weeks. Yippeeee!!!! I am currently at 168 lbs. This is the first time I have been in the 160's in many years. So, the goal is 140-145 lbs. I'm on my way! NO stopping me now!

Walk of Shame
Okay, this is my official walk of shame! All of you that are following me, thanks for not deleting my blog from your readers. LOL I officially suck! That's all I will say. There's no more mentioning of my excuses as to why I have been failingwith my weight loss and my blog. NO MORE EXCUSES. I am restarting my P90x tonight! I don't think I ever even mentioned on here that I signed up for Weight Watchers. I have been sucking at that as well.
This is my vicious cycle. I always do this to myself. I lost about 10 lbs (this time 11, whoop dee-do) and I hit a wall. I always find some excuse as to why I stopped. I am not doing this anymore. This is NOT how I am supposed to live my life. I remember how great I felt when I was exercising everyday. So, this is it! I will break this cycle. NOW! OK, I'm done rambling.
